'Taking it Back' Series      2015

I reconstructed vintage adverts that targeted Black consumers to reimagine what Black folks had to say in response.  Here is a little about my process.  

Radical, Magical & Black Feminist Art Prints       2015

Reading about Black history in Canada can be  one dimensional.  There is an obsession with violence, enslavement and highlighting how Black people 'made it' in a white/settler/colonial society.  I retold Black Canadian histories through a radical and feminist lens.  These prints have now become a children's picture book.
